By Air: The nearest airport in Amritsar is located 11 km away from the main city and it is known as Sri Guru Ram Das Jee International Airport. It is well connected with other cities of India.
By Train: Amritsar railway station is the main railway station in the city and it is well connected with the major cities of India. The whole journey will take around 6 hours.
By Bus: There are lot of bus services available which connects Delhi and Amritsar. There are both government and private buses which operates on daily basis. It will cost you around 800 Rs.

The best time to visit Amritsar is between November and March when the weather is comparatively pleasant and you can take an amazing view of Golden Temple. But yes sometimes the temperature can go up to 4 degree Celsius.
